MARCH 5, 2016 — E! News can confirm Joey + Rory member Joey Feek has died after a battle with cervical cancer. She was 40 years old. “My wife’s greatest dream came true today.  She is in Heaven,” Rory Feek wrote on the blog today in a post titled A Dream Come True.

This debut single was written and recorded by American pop singer Vanessa Carlton. OMG! I bought this CD album, not the single, a week or so after it was released. Somehow, I loved both the song and the entire package that Carlton delivered, especially with this single.

“A Thousand Miles” became Carlton’s breakthrough hit and one of the most popular songs of the year. To date, it remains Carlton’s biggest hit in the United States, and her only single to reach the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.

Billboard magazine opined, “it’s the song’s classical-tied piano hook that endures with urgency throughout the song that lends it spectacular charm, along with the artist’s vulnerable vocal style… A truly auspicious opening.”

“A Thousand Miles” is a piano-driven pop song supported by a string orchestral arrangement, in which its protagonist (Carlton) pines for her lover, from whom she has been separated. Carlton said that she wrote the song about her grandfather, who had died earlier. She has also called the song “a combination of reality and fantasy. It’s about a love that so consumes you that you do anything for it. That’s how I felt at that time”

Bella Ferraro is an Australian singer most notable for auditioning in The X Factor Australia in 2012. When I started watching some of top videos of The X Factor and ‘Got Talent, she was one of those unassuming young girls that came out on stage wearing a polka dot dress. On that first phrase of “Skinny Love,” both the judges and the audience knew she was destined for stardom. Eventually, Ferraro finished fourth in the fourth series of The X Factor Australia.

I like her first single “Set Me on Fire” though she looks more lovely in her second single “Forgot You.”

Below is the video of her audition at The X Factor Australia 2012.

Zendee Rose Tenerefe

Remember that viral YouTube video of an unknown Filipina in a backpack belting out “And I Am Telling You  (Living Without You)” at a SM Megamall karaoke sales station? Now, it’s being written and she’s being revealed in blogger-sphere and all over the net.

She’s Zendee Rose Tenerefe from the province of General Santos (GenSan). What she’s doing in SM Megamall in July is everyone’s guess. But, like our fave American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez long before she won her silver lining at the world pop music contest, Zendee Rose has also been accumulating a few YouTube videos of her own. The above video is one of them.

“Amazing grace!” is all I can say.

Below is the original YouTube video that started spreading like wildfire – now at 700,000+ hits and going.
